8-Day Southern Serengeti Great Migration at Ndutu Plains

Program of the day: When you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be greeted by your driver-guide or our representative. They will then take you to your accommodation in Arusha for an overnight stay. You can also take a complimentary city tour of Arusha with our guide if you have some time to spare.

Arusha City is Tanzania’s safari capital and the main gateway to the Northern Circuit, including Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, and Mount Kilimanjaro. Set beneath Mount Meru, it offers a pleasant climate, cultural diversity, lively markets, museums, coffee tours, and quality hotels. Arusha blends urban comfort with natural beauty and is an ideal starting point for wildlife and adventure tourism.

Program of the day: After breakfast, our tour driver-guide will pick you up from the lodge and take you on a wonderful game drive in Tarangire National Park, bringing along lunch boxes. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Tarangire National Park is famous for its large elephant herds and iconic giant baobab trees. The park boasts diverse landscapes, from seasonal swamps to savannahs, with the Tarangire River winding its way through the park. This river is the sole water source for wild animals during the dry season. You may have the opportunity to witness a lion stalking its prey or leopards lounging in the trees above.

Program of the day: After breakfast, you will depart for Southern Serengeti National Park for an amazing and beautiful game drive. You will enjoy lunch at a suitable place inside the park and continue the game drive activity in the afternoon before reaching the lodge. For the next two day You'll wake up early and enjoy breakfast. Afterward, you'll go on a game drive with picnic lunch boxes in the Southern Serengeti, specifically keeping an eye out for the great migration. Later, you'll drive back to Ndutu for an overnight stay

From December to March, the Great Migration comes alive in the Southern Serengeti and Ndutu region, offering an unforgettable safari experience. This is calving season, when over 500,000 wildebeest are born, attracting predators like lions and cheetahs. The lush plains provide perfect grazing grounds, making it an ideal time to witness dramatic wildlife interactions. It's a photographer’s dream raw nature, action-packed scenes, and endless herds on the savannah.

Program of the day: After breakfast, you will head to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive and bring a picnic lunch. After the game drive, we will transfer you to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Africa's natural wonders. It is home to the largest uninterrupted caldera in the world, and about 30,000 large mammals, including buffaloes, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and rhinos. Inside the crater, you can explore the spectacular landscapes, spot the Big Five animals, and see bird species like flamingos in the crater lakes. Get ready to see a variety of wild animals here!

Program of the day: After breakfast, you will head to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive with a packed lunch. After an exciting game drive and enjoying the park's natural beauty, we will transfer you to a lodge or hotel in Arusha for relaxation, dinner, and your overnight stay.

Lake Manyara National Park is well-known for its tree-climbing lions, which can be seen resting in the branches of trees, and the large colonies of baboons that inhabit the forest and can be spotted along the road as you enter the park.

Program of the Day: After breakfast, you can relax at the lodge and, if time allows, take a short tour of Arusha for some shopping. Later, you will be transferred to either Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport for your air transfer back home or to another destination. End of the tour.
