Mount Meru is a dormant volcano located in Tanzania, standing at 4,565 meters (14,977 feet) above sea level. It is the second highest mountain in Tanzania after Mount Kilimanjaro.

Climbing Mount Meru usually takes three to four days, with the climb starting from the Momella Gate in Arusha National Park. The route to the summit takes you through different vegetation zones, including tropical rainforest, heath, moorland, and alpine desert. Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, buffalos, and colobus monkeys.
