Program of the Day: After breakfast, we will embark on a full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park, bringing along lunch boxes for the journey. With the help of a guide, we will explore a part of Serengeti where we can expect to see a diverse array of animals. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the park's best picnic sites. Following the game drive, we will be transferred to the lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Serengeti National Park is situated in northern Tanzania and is a world heritage site that covers an area of around 15,000 square kilometres. The park is home to over 2 million herbivores, 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, 550 cheetahs, and approximately 500 bird species.
During the dry season, the park hosts massive herds of migratory wildebeest and zebra. Additionally, the North Serengeti is rich in resident wildlife, including lion, elephant, hippo, giraffe, crocodile, and the rare oribi antelope.
