Day: 1

Arrival at Arusha

Program of the day: Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our safari driver guide will be waiting for you at the airport to transfer you to the hotel in Arusha for your accommodation and overnight stay. Take some time to relax at the lodge or hotel and prepare for the next day of your safari.  Welcome to the start of your safari and welcome to Tanzania! You've chosen a fantastic place for your safari journey and we'll get you started with an introductory briefing before we head out to begin the trip you've been dreaming of. The streets of Arusha are fantastic places for you to learn a little more about local life in a northern Tanzanian city. Apart from the endless fascination of life on these busy streets, there are museums, markets, and a rewarding local food scene for you to experience.

Tarangire National Park

Program of the Day: After breakfast, our tour guide driver will pick you up from the lodge early in the morning and we will start a fantastic journey to Tarangire National Park with packed lunch boxes. Tarangire Park is well known for its large elephant herds and consists of a diversity of landscapes, from seasonal swamps to savannas with the Tarangire River winding its way through, providing opportunities to see leopards relaxing in the trees above.

Once the game drives are done, we will head back to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay. After dinner, you will be picked up for the night game drive  Explore one of Tanzania’s most rewarding national parks, a land of big baobab trees, big elephants and big cats. No wonder this ends up being the favourite park in Tanzania for many visitors. Sightings of wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, baboons, vervet monkeys and zebras are also almost guaranteed. Lions are plentiful here – Tarangire is home to one of Tanzania’s healthiest lion populations. While you’ll have to work a little harder to see a cheetah or leopard, it will only enhance your excitement when you do. You can also look forward to classic safari scenery – savannah plains, river woodlands and rocky hills.

In the busy provincial town of Karatu, with its constant stream of passing tourist traffic, the many places to stay mean you can rest from life on the road here. It’s big enough to have banks, shops (for both supplies and souvenirs) and a few roadside restaurants where locals eat.

Here you'll find the big populations of wildlife for which the Serengeti is famous. You'll also have a chance to see big cats. This area has plenty of northern Tanzania's iconic acacia trees as well as seemingly endless Serengeti horizons. Experience small-town Tanzania in this lively roadside town. Northen Serengeti

Program of the day: After breakfast, you will be transferred to the northern Serengeti, specifically the Mara River region, where you will witness the great migration crossing the Mara River. Our driver guide will find the best location where you will be able to witness the migration up close. In the Serengeti's far north, the Mara River is a top spot for wildlife. Not many travelers get to know the Northern Serengeti where you can explore rolling hills, grasslands, woodlands and the Mara River. You won't see many other vehicles as you look for big cats and elephants. Viewing the great migration is one of the highlights of any safari, and we'll take you to see this extraordinary natural spectacle. Enjoy watching epic numbers of wildlife pass across the landscape and keep an eye out for predators ready to pounce

Program of the day: After breakfast, we will depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area with picnic lunch boxes for a game drive inside the crater. You will have the chance to relax and immerse yourself in a new environment, providing great photography opportunities and the chance to explore this UNESCO World Heritage site. Your day in and around Ngorongoro Crater could just be one of the most memorable of your whole safari. You’ll explore the crater rim and then drive down onto the crater floor, where the critically endangered black rhinos are the stars of an astonishing wildlife show. You’ll almost certainly see large-tusked elephants, at least one of the Ngorongoro’s four lion prides, and wandering clans of spotted hyenas. It also just happens to be one of Africa’s most beautiful corners, a hidden world where you’ll be surrounded by steep, deep-green crater walls, a salt lake, forests and hippo-filled waterways. After a game drive you will be transferred to MoshiKilimanjaro for your overnight and preparation for your next day Mountain trekking adventure through Lemosho route

Lake Manyara National Park

Program of the Day: After breakfast, we will depart for Lake Manyara for wildlife game drives, bringing along lunch boxes. Once we finish the game drive, we will transfer you to Moshi Town for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay. Lake Manyara National Park will allow you to tick off so many unique safari highlights, including many that you just won’t find elsewhere. Unlike the elephants you’ll see in other parks, Lake Manyara’s inhabit dense forest – there’s nothing quite like your experience of an elephant suddenly emerging from behind the nearest tree. Also, you’re just as likely to see lions here draped along a branch high in a tree as down on the ground. And baboons. Lots of baboons. The views you’ll see here, too, persist in your memory long after you’ve returned home, thanks to the combination of lake, forest and sheer cliffs, all within just a few kilometres

Kibo Huts - Uhuru Peak Summit - Horombo Huts

Program of the day: Excitement is building as morning comes with an early start between midnight and 2 a.m. This is the most mentally and physically challenging portion of the trek. We continue our way to the summit in a switchback formation, trying to stay warm and focused on the amazing sense of accomplishment that lies ahead. With a switchback motion, we ascend through heavy scree and possibly snow toward Gillman’s Point on the crater rim. You will be rewarded with the most magnificent sunrise during your short rest here. Faster hikers may view the sunrise from the summit. Congratulations! One step at a time, you have now reached Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro and the entire continent of Africa! After photos and celebrations, we take a few moments to enjoy this incredible accomplishment, and then, spending a few moments taking in the plains of Africa and your accomplishments, we descend to Horombo Hut.
